Have you noticed that there isn't always a direct connection between the cost of your fun and the total amount of fun?
Not gonna lie, a Disney World vacation usually has a combination of a high amount of fun, but comes in at quite a bit of money. We know, we save for our regular Disney vacations so we have the fun of the vacation, the fun of planning the vacation, the fun of anticipating the vacation, and the vacation is totally paid for before we even go.
Why are we talking about this? Well, often the most fun things we've done have been some of the least expensive things.
We took this beautiful day in late September and went to a local u-pick apple orchard. The weather was slightly too warm, but the breeze made it quite pleasant.
We walked amongst the trees, determining which varieties to pick. We also got to try 6 different fresh apples right off the tree. Some we liked, some we were just so-so, and a couple we just LOVED!
Twenty-one pounds of apples seems like a lot, but we're going to make some apple crisps, maybe an apple pie, a cinnamon-apple ice cream topping, and you might have already figured it out, we're going to eat some.
Did it cost a lot? Well, we didn't have to buy 21 pounds of apples, but we know we had it in our entertainment spending plan and we are going to enjoy this trip to the apple orchard for the next couple of weeks.
Make sure you plan your fun just as much as you plan your "gotta do".
