What is one thing you might have forgotten as a newlywed.

Being newly married is exciting. We hope you are enjoying being newlyweds.

We want to remind you though, it is also a very busy time. There are things like wrapping up things after the wedding. Some of them are quick, like the final payments to vendors. Others take a bit longer, like thank-you notes to all the people for their gifts.

Newlyweds also have to consider the less glamorous parts of their new married status. Possible name changes, address changes, etc.

One thing we want to remind you of is updating your beneficiaries. On your life insurance policies, investment accounts, pensions, 401(k), etc. etc. Not as glamorous, but a loving thing to do and something that can be overlooked.

So, take care of these unglamorous things, so you can rest in the security they are taken care of.

And………… get back to the fun exciting parts of being a newlywed.

It isn't over till you've got all the paperwork done.
